Overview

Choosing Tetr College for its hands-on, global approach, Weronika highlights the transformational experience of studying business through real-world applications in diverse international markets.

It has been a year since I finished my research project on child development. While at that time I thought that I knew a lot about the influence of neglect on children, I honestly knew nothing. We tend to believe that if we read, memorize, and write about a certain topic, we are experts in the field. That is why I decided to spend my last summer volunteering in a social centre in Croatia and working with children from disadvantaged backgrounds. What I learned from the psychologists, social workers, and essentially children there was transformational, and everything finally made sense, I could see why I was learning all about it.

At the same time, I was carefully crafting the list of the universities I wanted to apply to in the following year, keeping in mind that I did not think I could stand sitting in the classroom for the next 4 years of my life without the feeling of fulfillment and seeing the whole picture of the concept I am studying.

Before the universities were established people who wanted to educate themselves were travelling, immersing themselves in different cultures, art scenes, and meeting inspiring people. They travelled to Paris to get access to the best artists, to Vienna for the best music performances, and to Milan for the best fashion scene, etc. However, the more we structured the education system, it got only worse as universities have barely changed the teaching style since they were founded.

I did not think I could find a university that perfectly aligned with my interests and would make me excited for the future. Nevertheless, after rejecting offers from top US and European universities, I decided to commit to Tetr College of Business while becoming a part of the first batch of the university. At Tetr, students learn business by building businesses while travelling across the world and getting mentored by top professors & practitioners. In the next 4 years, I am going to study in Dubai, New Delhi, Singapore, New York, Rio de Janeiro, Accra (Ghana), and Milan while taking courses at top universities worldwide. Everything I study in class, I will be able to apply in real-life scenarios, which is the key to professional development in this constantly changing world.

In recent years, I have been participating in many conferences about the Polish economy, and there has always been a discussion about how Poles do not expand their businesses globally and only stay in the Polish market. This is another reason why I truly believe in Tetr's pedagogy, we do not only learn how to be leaders, but how to be global leaders providing unique business experience. For instance, I cannot imagine a better way of learning about the Middle East market than actually being there and experiencing it first-hand. I will be able to immerse myself and create connections in 8 different markets that would massively help in my professional journey.

Studying in different countries every term and facing many challenges including acclimatizing to new cultures is more challenging than undertaking the traditional path. However, I am certain that if you see the positive impacts of your actions, it keeps you going, because you live with the passion for it. It is time to change the way we view the university, it is not supposed to be the place where we learn how to fit into certain structures, but a place for boosting our structured thinking, creativity, and communication skills. Most of the jobs will be probably replaced by AI in the future, but those that are relationship-driven and require creativity are irreplaceable. So would it not be logical to hugely focus on those skills? That’s what Tetr gave me from day one. Since I was admitted I had an opportunity to interact with amazing professionals whether during my interview or masterclasses, which would normally be hard to foster such relationships. Additionally, it made me question things and how they work even if the first term has not started yet.

I helped to organize a meet-up for admitted students from the Europe Cycle in London two weeks ago, where we had an opportunity to interact with fellow students, one of our future professors Davide Turi, Tarun- Director at Tetr, and Pratham - Founder of Tetr. After all those meaningful conversations, I have never been more certain about my decision and I feel privileged to be around such amazing people who are certainly going to revolutionize the world of business for the better. Joining Tetr College of Business marks the beginning of an exciting chapter, where practical, global experiences will shape my future in ways traditional education cannot. I invite you to reflect on your own educational journey and consider the possibilities that innovative learning approaches, like those at Tetr, can offer. The best is yet to come.
